James "Priest" Burdette, 198, will take to the platform on Saturday for the AFPF War on
the Shore which will be held at F-I-T Gym in Los Angeles, California. Burdette plans to
open up at 705 pounds and hopes to finish with a 766 pound press. He currently holds the
twelfth highest bench of all-time at 198. Burdette next will compete at the WABDL World
Championships in November.
The War on the Shore will also feature a team showdown. With Scot Mendelson's F-I-T
team battling the Nemesis Powerlifting team out of Ventura, California. Lifters from San
Diego, Sacremento, Los Angeles, Ventura, Cammarillo and Fresno will be competing the
event.
